Thanksgiving of sesquicentennial Of our Founder at Salun

Thanksgiving of sesquicentennial
Of our Founder at Salun

It was indeed a blissful occasion to cherish as Carmelite Missionaries of the communities of Salun, Ahmedabad and Dhandhuka, as we celebrated the closing ceremony of the 150th Death anniversary of our beloved Founder Blessed Francisco Palau on the 29th of October 2022 in the parish church of Salun. All the sisters and CMS members, religious, priests and well-wishers from close by joined for the solemn Eucharistic celebration.

The beautiful entrance dance and candle procession made the moment more graceful. His Excellency Bp.Ratna Swami, was the main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebration along with other 6 priests at the altar. Fr.Jignesh Macwan OCD, preached a meaningful sermon on our Founder about the profound love he had for the church in spite the chaos of that time. He said that the tough times did not pull him back but only made him more prayerful and austere. Fr. Paresh Parmar and the Parish Priest also appreciated the selfless services and presence of Carmelite Missionary sisters in the parish and various parts of India.

After the Holy Mass there was a short felicitation and all shared the joy of meeting each other and enjoyed the sumptuous meal served. We thank God from the bottom of our heats for the gift of our Founder, Blessed Francisco Palau, in the Church and for the joy of making him known to some more people.
