OUR SISTERS ARE COLLABORATING WITH THE JESUITS TO CARRY ON THE MISSION IN INEPAL.









SINCE THERE IS NO AS SUCH STRUCTURAL CLASS ROOMS FOR CHILDREN, WE EDUCATE THEM IN OUR HOUSE AND IN THE CHURCH.













THE CHURCH IS USED TO EDUCATE THE CHILDREN.












MOST OF THE WOMEN ARE ILLITERATE. SO THE SISTERS ASSIST THEM TO READ AND WRITE.











MOST OF THEM HAVE NOT LEARNED TO SAVE THEIR WAGES.












MOST OF THE YOUTH WE HAVE ARE DROP OUTS.








LET US PRAY FOR THE MISSION IN NEPAL. THAT THEY MAY TOO COME UP IN LIFE AND SEE A BETTER FUTURE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND HAVE A BETTER LIVING.

FIRST PROFESSION

 ON 16TH MAY 2016, OUR TWO NOVICES MARINA MUNIS AND SONIA MENDONCA  MADE THEIR FIRST PROFESSION. HERE IS THE GIST OF THEIR VOCATION STORY.

SR.MARINA MUNIS

WHEN I RECEIVED MY FIRST HOLY COMMUNION, I FELT SOMETHING HAPPENING TO ME. AT THAT VERY MOMENT I DECIDED TO FOLLOW CHRIST AND BECOME A NUN.

I WAS DEEPLY IMPRESSED BY THE PRESENCE OF OUR CM SISTERS IN OUR PARISH (DONGRI). I WAS TAKEN UP BY THEIR SERVICE IN THE PARISH THAT INSPIRED ME TO BE LIKE ONE OF THEM.

SR.SONIA MENDONCA

WHEN I WAS IN CLASS 10, I HAD GONE TO 'JEEVAN JYOTHI' IN MANGALORE TO ATTEND A SEMINAR. THERE I GOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE IN THE HOME FOR THE AGED WHERE I CAME ACROSS THE FMM SISTERS. I WAS INSPIRED BY THE LIFE STYLE OF THE NUNS AND THE WAY THEY WERE SERVING THE AGED PEOPLE.

THIS INCIDENT INSPIRED ME TO BE A RELIGIOUS ONE DAY.

HOLY YEAR OF MERCY

‘MERCY reawakens us to new LIFE & instills courage to look to the FUTURE with HOPE’

The MERCY of God is His LOVING concern for each one of us.

MERCY is the Bride that connects God & man.

The Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy began on 8^th December 2015, (ending with November 20^th 2016- the feast of Christ the King) under the patronage of Mary, the Mother of Mercy. ‘The face of Mercy’ opens with the declaration ‘Jesus is the face of the Father’s Mercy’ and this is the mystery of Christian faith. God’s mercy is His unfailing attitude and actions towards the least deserving and spiritually poor.

The Father of Mercies continues to rescue us and helps conform our thoughts, our words and our actions to the life of His Son. The Church also sets before us a well established path so we may unite ourselves to Christ and follow this way of Mercy. Pope Francis offers some practical ways to live well this path of the Holy year:   go on pilgrimage as an impetus for conversion, do not judge or condemn, avoid gossip, envy and jealousy, have a heart open to the fringes of society and bring consolation, mercy & solidarity to people who live in precarious and violent situations, take up the corporal and spiritual acts of mercy with joy.

The Pope further states that “Here is the reason for the Jubilee year of Mercy because this is the time of mercy. It is the favorable time to heal the wounds, a time not to be weary of meeting those who are waiting to see and to touch with their hands the signs of the closeness of God, a time to offer everyone the way of forgiveness and reconciliation.”

“Wherever the Church is present, the mercy of the Father must be evident. “

Wherever there are Christians, everyone should find an oasis of mercy.

DEAR GOD

I DON'T KNOW ALL OF THE CHALLENGES MY FRIENDS HAVE, BUT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING. I HEAR THEIR SILENCE, YOU HEAR THEIR PRAYERS. I SEE THEIR LAUGHTER, YOU SEE THEIR TEARS. I SEE WHEN THEY GIVE, YOU SEE WHAT'S BEEN TAKEN FROM THEM. I SEE THEIR BEAUTIFUL APPEARANCE, YOU SEE THE SCARS IN THEIR SOUL. I EXPERIENCE THEIR FAITH, YOU KNOW THEIR DOUBTS. MY PRAYER FOR THEM, GOD, IS THAT YOU HEAR EVERY SINGLE PRAYER AND MEET THEM IN THEIR NEEDS.

IN YOUR NAME I PRAY, AMEN.
